Effective 1 September, the team of our agent in Poland will formally join the Vanguard network. Vanguard will assume responsibility for day-to-day operations in Poland, a large and growing market for ocean transportation and logistics solutions that aligns well with our growth ambitions in Europe.
This is another significant step forward in Vanguard’s focus on Offering the Best Network. Operating from its location at the Port of Gdynia (the second largest port in Poland), a team of twelve Ocean Shipping experts will continue to serve and exceed the needs of our customers in the region.
Our twelve new colleagues will play an important role as we broaden and strengthen our global footprint, enhancing our ability to serve our customers' needs by increasing our capacity to move more freight within our own end-to-end controlled network.
We are proud to welcome Poland as Vanguard's 36th 'own country' to our family. With other recent additions including Sri Lanka in 2019 and Canada in 2020, our commitment to achieving Vanguard’s Roadmap targets we set three years ago is clear.
