Vanguard Logistics, Shanghai, received an award from our customer, Dupont China Holdings, for providing exceptional service to their supply chain company Dupont Personal Protection, during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Chinese New Year (CNY) was in full swing when Ms. Karry He of Dupont, reached out to Vincent Chen and Jeremy Tong, from our Shanghai office for urgent assistance with the import process of cargo destined for Wuhan, in the Hubei province.
The challenge Dupont faced was securing the quick release of several shipments of vital personal protection clothing heading to Wuhan to help in the fight against the COVID-19 virus. They needed it as quickly as possible.
Despite the challenges of CNY’s business closures and the COVID-19 pandemic, Vanguard Shanghai’s dedicated customer service organization, along with an established network of longtime partnerships in the Chinese market, was able to expedite the shipments and secure their release in only one day.
“We sincerely appreciate VLS Shanghai Sea Import Mgr. Jeremy Tong’s super hand, personal time, and dedication, especially for CNY holiday,” said Ms. He. “It just took one day to complete (the) FCL box import declaration and import process (and) by one day our two LCL (boxes) of relief protection clothes could (be) available at CFS warehouse to stand by pick-up from the China government.”
To express her gratitude, Ms. He organized for our Shanghai colleagues to visit the Dupont office to accept a certificate and a trophy of gratitude.
